To RENEW your Security Guard License:

A Security Guard registration is good for two (2) years. The 8-Hour Annual In-Service Training Course for security guards must be completed within 12 calendar months from completion of the 16 Hour On-the-Job Training Course and annually thereafter.

 

Licensed Security Guards are required to complete the 8-Hour Annual In-Service Training Course in order to keep your security guard registration card in good standing.

 

You are eligible to renew your license 90 days prior to your license expiration date. Your license expiration date is printed on the license.

 

Renewal forms (Form DOS-1246) are mailed approximately 90 days prior to the license expiration date. The application fee to renew your security guard license is $25.00
